Who you are dealing with

Hindsight Markets is operated by a sole trader trading as Hindsight Markets (ABN 88 580 393 748) in Victoria, Australia. "We", "us" and "our" mean that business. Write to us at support@hindsightmarkets.com.

What the service is

Hindsight Markets is a trading simulator. You replay real, historical US-equity sessions and place simulated orders against the historical order book. No real money is traded, no order is routed to any exchange or broker, and nothing on the service is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. We are not a broker and we do not give financial advice. The data is historical and at least one day old.

Your account

An account is personal — one per person — and you are responsible for what is done with it and for keeping your password to yourself. You must be able to enter into a contract in the place you live. You can delete your account at any time from Settings; deleting it removes your data as the Privacy Policy describes.

Paying for it

The subscription unlocks replay, scanning and the journal. Exporting your data stays available without a subscription. Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy as the merchant of record: you buy from Lemon Squeezy, their purchase terms apply to the transaction, and card details are entered on their pages, never on ours. Prices and the free trial are shown at checkout. Cancelling stops the next charge and keeps your access until the period you have paid for ends. Refunds are described in the Refund Policy.

Acceptable use

The market data, news and filings on the service are licensed for you to view inside the service. Do not copy, scrape, record or redistribute them, do not resell access, and do not use automated tools to pull data out of the service. Do not try to break the service or get around its limits. We may suspend or close an account that does these things.

What we promise, and what we don't

We work to keep the service accurate and available, but a simulator is a model: the Disclaimer sets out what the model does and does not capture, and practice results do not guarantee real results. To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as it is and we are not liable for trading decisions you make anywhere else. If you are a consumer in Australia, the Australian Consumer Law gives you guarantees that cannot be excluded, and nothing here excludes them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

Changes

When these terms change, the new text is posted here with a new date at the top. Using the service after that date means the new terms apply.
