A quiet stock wakes up

No news came out, yet FUSE ran. It closed July 31 at $0.784 and barely moved for the first hour. Then the 10:31 minute traded 164K shares and ran to $1.29.

It was halted at 10:32:20. It reopened at 10:37:20 nearly flat, with one 80K-share trade at $1.29.

The top at $1.84

The real run came after the halt. By 10:48 it hit $1.84, 135% over the prior close.

It made a lower high of $1.75 at 10:52. Then it slid to $1.35 in the 10:57 minute.

The wall at $1.40

Later that morning, a big block of shares for sale sat at $1.40. It peaked at 63K shares at 11:31 while the stock traded below it.

Stop It's 11:36. FUSE is at $1.33. About 62,950 shares were offered at $1.40 at the wall's peak, and it is still sitting just above. Would you buy here?

Buyers ate it. 52K shares traded at $1.40 in 3.6 seconds, and the wall was gone at 11:36:46. The push stalled at $1.43, and the stock was back to $1.36 by 11:38.

It closed at $1.31, on 19.9M shares, about twice the float.

What to take from it: A wall can break fast and the price can still stall.
